Church of San Quirico

Santu Chilgu. The church of San Quirico dates back to the 16th century and stands in a thick forest with the old town of Luogosanto nearby. It's the second oldest church in the country. The church was restored in the 1950s. Every year in early August there is a great festival to honour the saint and a horse race 'Lu Paliu di la stélla' organised by Lu Juali Associations. The Palio is run through the streets of the country in the late afternoon.
